Okay, so Trump pardons Changpeng Zhao – "CZ," the crypto dude who pleaded guilty to money laundering – and then claims he has "no idea who he is." Give me a break. Either the guy's memory is shot, or he's insulting everyone's intelligence. Or both. According to Trump, Trump says "I know nothing about it" when asked about crypto billionaire pardon.
Trump says he was told Zhao was a victim of a "witch hunt" by Biden. A "witch hunt?" Seriously? The guy admitted to enabling money laundering! That ain't exactly parking tickets. It's like saying Al Capone was just misunderstood. And who exactly told Trump this load of crap? Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, called it an "overly prosecuted case." Right, because when billionaires get caught with their hands in the cookie jar, it's always a political hit job.
Here's the part that really stinks: Zhao's companies have partnered with firms linked to Trump, including Dominari Holdings, where Trump's sons sit on the board of advisers. Trump Tower is involved, too. So, even if Trump personally doesn't remember CZ's name (doubtful), you're telling me nobody whispered in his ear, "Hey, Don, remember that crypto guy your kids are doing business with? The one we're about to pardon?"
And let's not forget the other crypto pardon: Justin Sun, whose fraud case the Trump administration halted after his investments in the Trump family's crypto firm. Coincidence? Offcourse not. This isn't draining the swamp; it's turning the White House into a crypto laundromat.

Trump also said the US needs to lead in crypto or China will. Ah, yes, the good ol' "China threat" to justify... what exactly? Pardoning criminals? Enriching his buddies? It's the same tired playbook.
This isn't even the first time Trump's pardoned shady characters in the crypto world. He also pardoned the founders of BitMEX, who faced money laundering charges, and Ross Ulbricht, the Silk Road guy. What's the common thread here? Is Trump just a softie for crypto bros? Or is there something else going on?
It's easy to say "Trump is corrupt," but it's also too simple. The whole system is built to benefit the wealthy, and these pardons are just another symptom of that. I mean, are we really surprised?
But wait a minute... am I being too cynical? Maybe Trump really doesn't know who CZ is. Maybe he just signs whatever paperwork they put in front of him. Maybe he's just a clueless figurehead propped up by grifters. But that's almost worse, isn't it?
